Kulay Kalye 3

I'll let you in on a little secret -- I'm partially color-blind. So I've become more conscious of colors -- both the ones I can see accurately as well as the others that I can't -- and not taking their presence for granted. An advantage though is that I see little nuances here and there of color, especially in reflected light . What appears as a blank sheet of white to most would appear as a lightly water-color washed area of light to me. I'd see the reflected colors from things nearby more easily. Thank god for small blessings;) Taken around places I regularly walk around through; 2012

Kulay Kalye 2

Take a second look at mundane, everyday things in a different light. They may just surprise you with color. Taken around places I regularly walk around through; 2012

Christopher Lee

Fascinating and impressive man this Sir Christopher Lee. I've always known of him as a villain's villain and he will always be Scaramanga, Dracula, Saruman and fallen jedi Count Dooku to me but was literally astounded to know that he is the son of a contessa, a classical singer, an intelligence soldier who served in the LRDG in North Africa AND the SAS -- that alone is totally BADASS, is related to James Bond creator Ian Fleming, General Robert E. Lee, speaks at least 7 languages, is 90 years old, is the only actor from Peter Jackson's film adaptations of "Lord of the Rings" to have actually met J.R.R. Tolkien, played the role of Muhammad Ali Jinnah, founder of modern Pakistan in Jinnah, is the jabberwocky, still acts and plays heavy metal guitar! Awesome, awesome man! Digital illustration; 2012

The Holstee Manifesto

I stumbled on this very, very nice poster by Holstee recently. I don't usually take much notice of these feel-good motivational posters but this was nicely written, well designed and the typography by designer Rachel Beresh was refreshingly simple, unassuming but highly effective. I wouldn't mind having this in my design studio. Visit Rachel Beresh's portfolio and drop by Holstee to check out the stuff for sale. The poster's a bit expensive though...
