Rock Musical Poster Comp

A comp for a poster; 2010

Here's a poster comp I worked on a few weeks ago. I'm not sure if my design will make the final cut so I removed the title from the comp first and will hopefully upload the final design once the people I'm talking to make up their minds. A comp, or a comprehensive layout or comprehensive, is the page layout of a proposed design as initially presented by the designer to a client, showing the relative positions of text and illustrations before the specific content of those elements has been decided on, as a rough draft of the final layout in which to build around.

The brief for the design stressed the need to portray conflict between two men of equal vision but from opposing social classes and the chaos that ensues from that conflict. The headshot is a picture of a friend of mine redrawn in sharpies and scanned then vectorized.
