I'll let you in on a little secret -- I'm partially color-blind. So I've become more conscious of colors -- both the ones I can see accurately as well as the others that I can't -- and not taking their presence for granted. An advantage though is that I see little nuances here and there of color, especially in reflected light . What appears as a blank sheet of white to most would appear as a lightly water-color washed area of light to me. I'd see the reflected colors from things nearby more easily.
